Question what programmer is best

I have a lincoln mark lt that has a air force 3.25" intake long tube headers no cats and three inch exhaust with a magnaflow muffler and i have the troyer tunes in the truck now but the air fuel miixture is way rich. I'm trying to find a chip or add on so i can maximize my performance, and fuel milage

There is no such thing as a chip to do that. It requires a program, which you already have. Just contact Troyer, tell him your problem, and I bet he can fix it. If you don't want to do that, then contact Justin at VMP and get an all new program for your tuner.

unless it is an offroad vehicle, mike doesn't tune for no cats or eliminate cels from popping up because of this- my $ is on the fact truck was tuned before cats were eliminated-phil

it was tuned before the long tube headers and the cat delete. and they want almost three hundred or more to reprogram the one i already paid to much for. the exhaust is three inch into a magnaflow and dual 2.5" out.

I like your answer here Phil. I doubt any reputable tuner would tune for no cats on a street vehicle. And, I believe Troyer is one of the "reputable" ones.

spending extra $ on a glorified f 150, then complaining about spending too much $ on tunes makes as much sense as guys who lift their trucks 6" and run 35"+ tall tires and heavy wheels then complaining about poor gas mileage

Thats not good business! You know how many mustangs are running around w/ no cats on a custom tune? There not liable for you not having smog equipment.

actually the tuner can be hence why Troyer does not tune for the lack of cats and or turn off the rear o2 sensors...

to the OP, if you aren't happy with troyer then go elsewhere it's a free country and I'll call BS on your claim to the $300 or more to modify your existing tunes unless you planning on buying another tuning device

I got a steal on over glorified f-150 so it wasnt much more that what i wanted in a f 150 and i think its bs to charge that much to retune just cause i found cheaper headers then they wanted to sell me. for your info i dont need to pass emissions in wyoiming its a non carb state

thank you blue jay on behalf of the belittled members,
loudlincoln, joining a forum and insulting members who have been here a while, and expecting answers is poitnless.the old saying you can catch more bees with honey applies here.i don't think mike has ever charged $300 for retunes.i guess thats why there are two sides to every story...if mike doesn't want to tune an on road driven vehicle without cats is his point,he is responsibe enough to cover his own *** by not doing this.

but aren't all vehciles after a certain year required by the federal government to have cats in place if equiped from the factory?

have you contacted Troyer about the retune? do you use all 3 tunes you have now? if not then why not just get the one you use tweaked at 1/3 of the cost?

hopefully you have a nice wonderful day
