caforddude, my understanding is that you can install all of those mods except for the CAI without causing any harm to your truck. the only thing is that your speed-o will be off with those 33's. then you can install the CAI yourself after you get the custom tunes. not to sure about the x-cal, but i know with the gryphon, when you order it, they send you the unit with canned tunes, and you can change the tire size before the custom tunes come in. i dont think you should base your decision strictly on this, but if you were leaning towards the gryphon already then...

im still kinda fuzzy on changing the tire size on the x-cal. can someone chime in and enlighten me on whether you need custom tunes or not to recalibrate for a different tire size.

you do not need custom tunes to change your tire size. It's in the extended options menu

The trouble was operator error.

Picture on website kinda looks like a bad photoshop chop. Looks like it pokes out way to far. Is that really how it looks, or is it a bad angle?

it looks extremely similar to the edge.... hence they are willing to trade.

Bill (custom tuner for the gryphon) used to work for Edge, and helped design it IIRC.

They are actual photos taken by a few of our customers. (I did change the color of the display, though, to show that it's a feature.)

It doesn't only look extremely similar -- it's a private labeled Evo. They are purchased from Edge. We've even recently had custom made black cases made by the same company who makes theirs. That's the only aesthetic difference -- Edge's programmer is gray/black, and our is black. The differentiation is vital to protecting Edge's CARB certification. The Evo can't be custom tuned; the Gryphon can.

well bit the bullet this morning and purchased a Custom tuned Gryphon from PHP.

The PDF order form PHP has set up is great and easy to navigate. And within 30 minutes of emailing off the order form I had a call from Corey confirming the order and helping with getting it 2 day'd to me instead of the usual wait.

Can't wait to get it and start havin fun!

Thanks again Corey and PHP

Oh and not to slight Bill. He answered a ton of questions for me before I placed the order

I hate UPS

UPS came today...I WAS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INVOLVED PROJECT, and dropped off my brand spanking new Gryphon from PHP.

There was no way I could stop what I was doing to fiddle with it so there it sat, in the box, mocking me. Like a piece of cake mocks a fat kid...

Anyways Great service from Corey and Bill at PHP. Made the order, they called and confirmed within 30 minutes, split the cost with me to get it shipped 2 day. I can't wait to get up in the morning and install it. Yes it only has the canned tunes BUT the custom ones will be here soon enough.

Thanks to the folks at PHP.
