If my gps is reading 63mph and my truck and edge are reading 70mph what should I be doing to get my truck closer to the gps reading? I set my gears correct for 3.55 and my tire size is set for a 33" tire. Any ideas? Should I go up or down on the tire size?

The first thing I would do is double check your gear setting. make sure it got entered correctly. What is your actual tire size?

I just measured from the garage floor to the top of tread and its exactly 31 and 1/4 inches, I also double checked my gear settings and they are set to 3.55.

Your tire size has to be put in in mm. what is the size? Did you get a reading out of the manual ordo the math?

put in 2632 mm on the tires. if that is not close, try 2500.

no, that can't be. It is 2632 for a 33 inch tire, but that is before any squish factor. I have to allow 3 to 5% for squish on my tires.

thanks bluejay, Thats what I had in there. I guess tomorrow I will try 2500. Do you think if my speedo is reading faster than the actuall speed, decreasing the tire size in the tuner will bring down the speed reading on my truck?

Ican assure you if you change your Edge sizing, it will change the trucks speedo, but I never can remeber which way to go. The manual says 2632 for a 33 inch tire, but they did not allow for the flat spot on the ground, squish. That is why you have to take off 3-5 %. Most trucks are about 2mph faster than the Edge. Ford set the manual speedo 2 mph fast. I set my Edge to the GPS and i use the digital Edge speedo for accuracy.

Yeah ,its just too bad you cant just adjust the tire size without turning off the truck and going throught the whole tuner thing. Oh well it will give me a reason to go burn some gas this weekend, thanks.
