VMP Tunes Ordered!

Just ordered some tunes from VMP. Ordered 93 mileage, 93 towing, and 93 performance. Can't wait to get them installed. I ordered all 93 because it will only cost about $5 dollars more to fill up and I'm betting that I will see enough improvement to justify $5. I also don't want to worry about what octane I have in my tank when I want to switch tunes.

I haven't received them yet, but it has only been a week. I will post a review when I get them.

I am sure you will enjoy the tunes from VMP. I had Justin dyno tune my FX4 here in Houston and the (93 octane performace) tune is excellent. The truck dynoed at 264 HP and 340 TQ at the rear wheels, not bad for a naturally aspirated 4x4 small block.

As for performace mods, I have the K&N FIPK cold air intake (3.25 inch tube), Troyer E-fans, Brisk racing plugs, magnaflow high flow cats and X-pipe (2.5 inch), and true duals with Borla mufflers (exits to 2.25 inch duals).

I just received an e-mail from Justin. He says I should receive the tunes and tuner either Wednesday or Thursday. I have a trip coming up on the 11th of August. It will be about 400 miles one way, so I will get to see how well the mileage tune works. I will let everyone know when I get them and when I get them installed.

will these custom tunes void warranty, or make it a pain in the *** to get work done if there is a problem unrelated?

No, only if the problem is caused by the mod.

Do what the rest do; set the vehicle back to stock if/when you take it to the dealership for any service and/or warranty work.
