Not to hijack this thread, but I have a few questions. I bought an Edge, 4.56 gears front and rear, AEM Brute Force intake, and Mag-Hytec diff cover, all being installed on July 31st (would have it installed sooner, but the wife is 39 weeks pregnant). Can Bill at PHP custom tune the Edge or does it have to be a Gryphon? And what is the process to get a custom tune from them, do you have to send in your programmer or do you just have to answer some questions and they send the custom tune via email? Sorry for the hijacking and thanks for any forthcoming info.

Not true, Thumper! We actually took several orders while we were "closed." And we actually opened our phones again on Monday, so we're open for business!

Hi there,

The Evolution can't be custom tuned because of Edge's CARB certification. We offer an upgrade solution, however. We will be releasing our new website tomorrow, and it has all the information on it.

Thank you for your interest!

Thanks Corey. If only I knew then what I know now, I would have just got the Gryphon in the first place. I'll check your website tomorrow and look into your upgrade solution.

Thumper,

I checked out the Livewire. Nice looking unit, and thanks for the recommendation.
Does this mean that you would choose the Xcal2/3/Livewire with custom tunes over the Gryphon w/ custom tunes? If so, why? Sorry for all of the questions!

I've got a personal preference towards SCT's products. A lot of people tune for SCT stuff. Bill is the only who can tune the Gryphon. It just leaves a lot more options open. Like I said, just my personal opinion.

I just installed my Gryphon yesterday and am amazed at how much difference it made with using just the canned tunes. The throttle response is the single most noticeable difference, IMHO, and made the purchase well worthwhile. I can't wait to get the custom tunes!

And, Robodude, through all the smog on this thread, you're experiencing what a bunch of us on this thread have seen!

Welcome to the PHP club!
