Engine Upgrades - Start.

I have the 4.6 V8 in my F150 4x4 Triton Super Crew. Are there any quick and easy upgrades one can make to the engine to help with accelleration and (Dare I say) MPG?

One change I did on My other vehicle was the cold air intake and there was a PCM chip upgrade. Does anyone recommend changes like these?
TNX.

Hey Crank.. I have the 4.6 Screw also and here's the mods I've made and the results..

1st was a Borla cat-back, gained 1.8 mpg on the highway.

2nd was a 3" AF1 intake, much better throttle response, very nice growl from under the hood.. no change in mpg that I could tell.

Last was tuning from Troyer.. made it an entirely different truck. The shifting and throttle response are incredible now.

I'm just guessing, but not unreasonable guessing, so take it as you will, that I gained about 10 hp each from the intake and exhuast and about 50 from the tuning. Maybe a little more.

I couldn't be happier with that package, made a HUGE difference..

I'm sure you'll hear some bashing about what I've said, over one thing or another.. But it sure has worked for me..
