Tunes and Emissions

I guess this question would be directed towards any of the tuners or someone who has firsthand knowledge of this.....

I have an intake, CB exhaust, and tunes....I'm wondering if getting your truck tuned will play with any of the emissions? It may be a stupid question to some, but I'm just covering my bases....

Not sure bout GA, but I just got my truck inspected here in NC.

I have a Roush CAI, Roush Offroad exhaust, and at the time had the livewire in the truck with the canned 93 performance tune installed.

Passed with Flying colors.

Give it time. We did not have it in my county until a couple years ago.

They just kicked the tires and slapped a sticker on.

Yeah here in S. Georgia as long as your car runs and isn't falling apart (and even that's debateable!), you are good to go.

Im from northern cali...I also have a similar setup, CA sucks! What intake do you have? I have a CA legal K&N but I lost the sticker and nobody would touch it! I had to contact K&N and wait for the sticker to come before I could do anything...once it came I just put the tuning back to stock a couple days before I had it smogged and it was way below the emissions level. I think as long as your intake is legal and has the CARB legal sticker you should be ok (not sure if they pass with tunes loaded but you should be able to go back to stock).

Yeah I have a Banks intake, which is also CARB legal, so I should be good to go.

Mine passed the Dallas/Fort Worth test on the Edge Level 3 tune.

We're in Barrow County, GA. No emissions tests here, either!
