Need Hypertech Help

I have an 05 F150 XLT 5.4 4x4 SuperCrew. I have a Hypertech Power Programer lll. I got it for free so I definitly want to use it. Besides a Flowmaster Super 44 this programer is my only mod. I need someone to tell me the best settings to put this on to run the fastest 1/4mi. Need advice asap!

they usually only have a couple different octane levels to choose from so your choices are kinda limited

I have the III

You say you received this for free so I hope the canned tunes are in there still. These programmers swap the factory tune for the canned tune. Make sure the hypertech tunes are there.

I ran 93 on my 4.6 for a year and after switching back to 87 I can not tell the difference.
I have 3.08 gears in my 4x2 and it is a freaking dog off the line. The hypertech made a big difference though.
My settings
87 tune
30 inch tires
3.08 rear end
auto tranny
increase shift firmness
1-2 shift -400 (there is just no power after 4900 rpm so I have it shift at 4700ish and it is way faster)
2-3 shift +200
3-4 shift +100
Factory speed limiter
Factory rev limiter

yes the tunes are still on it, a family member gave it to me when he sold his '05. I have been running:

-Regular Fuel Tune
-Stock Tire Height
-Stock Rear Axle Ratio
-Increse Speed Limiter to 124mph
-Rev Limiter +500
-Auto Tranny
-Tranny 1-2 +300
2-3 +300
3-4 +300
-Increase Shift Firmness

I am really just having fun out there, this is still my daily driver. Im not trying to get it to run 11's, just trying to get it fast enough to beat all my buddies, haha. I am just looking for anyone who has a knowledgable imput to make some suggestions on how to set my programmer to get my 1/4mi time as low as possible. Thanks fer the help guys

lower 1-2

I think you have the 4r75w transmission in that vehicle. How are your 1-2 shifts? Mine lag terribly after 4700 rpm ergo I lowered the shift point there. If you look at the torque curves in the dyno posts here you will see that the power in a lot of stockers just fall off after 4500 rpm or so. Give it a try and see if it feels quicker. 2 and 3 are great gears ergo the extended shift. I take 2nd gear straight to 92mph before shifting and it pulls all the way to 5200 rpm.

I am curious to see how it turns out. My only gripe with the tuner is that most changes take about 30 minutes.
