You will need a professional install, monitor AFR, etc.. Wet kit is perfered pre-TB. It will not be worth it in the long run.

If it has a shrader valve it should easy as pie to install. You would be safe running a 75 shot on the stock tune on these trucks. Just make sure you are burning at least 91 when you are spraying and you wont see detonation, probably get away with 87 but just to be on the safe side burn premium. Get a set of cooler burning plugs gapped to about .035 and spray away. I have always been a fan of the zex kit. Make sure it is a wet kit.

Zex wet kits are top notch. There was someone with a Lincoln LT running a lift with 35s and n20.

The last time I heard of him was when he twisted his driveshaft.

nos

ive ran nos for probably 15 years on 2 of my other vehicles,so i know how it works.i was mainly curious if anyone out there has been running a specific kit on a newer ford truck.i agree the zex kit looks to be the most user friendly kit out there.both of my other systems are nos brand, but they seem to have fallen behind on theyre efi kits.

Agreed, NOS is alright for the old school stuff. But, I'd stick with the ZEX kit for the modern domestics.

Not trying to Jack this thread, but since we are discussing Nitrous Kit's ect..ect.. I have a 2000 Mustang GT (4.6) Would this Zex Wet Kit work well for that as well.......???? I haven't found any "Mustang Forums" with a similar layout as this one. This is one Great, User Friendly setup!

Thanks
Tom

Sorry for bringing another "non-truck" into the topic!

Have you been to:

http://forums.corral.net/forums/

I spent many an hour there when I had my 2000 GT and am still a member

You will find a forum for nitrous under "Power Adders"

Racing2Fast, get the ZEX kit. I'll probably be going with it as well.

If Im reading these Zex Kit's correctly there is no need to "upgrade the fuel delivery system"

Thump, if I am correct in my understanding these newer Zex Kit's have a "brain box" that monitors the Fuel/Nitrous mixture? ALl you have to do is install the kit, and the zex module controls the amout of Nitrous, and fuel ect..ect.. DO you know by chance if you have to add a fuel nozel along with the nos nozel?

Im hesitant about these sytems cause I dont have the money to replace a broken motor... Is nitrous "safe" on these vehichles if used properly?

Thanks
Tom

Nitrous is safe if used properly. People are seeing failures when it's not used properly or over exceeding it's limits. Power is addicting to say the least. Yes you are correct. I believe that regardless of the kit that you'll need an upgraded fuel delivery system if you're running a 150 shot etc. The 75, 100, and possibly 125 should be okay on the stock fuel system.
