EDGE programmer causing a check engine light...
i have had an EDGE evolution programmer that i have run on my 2007 4.6L f150 for a few months now and ever since i have had it my check engine light comes on after a few miles. i have run it programmed on all 3 levels and the light always comes on. if i run the diagnostic it says it is a computer processing error. Is this problem with the programmer or truck? i have taken the programmer off completely and had the dealership i work at run their computer on it and they didnt come up with any trouble codes. What should i try? any help is appreciated.
P.S. How hard is it to trade my EDGE in for a gryphon programmer? all i hear is people saying good things about them on here.

It DOES sound like your Edge might be the problem. After all, it changes the program in the PCM. And, as I understand your post, if you return the truck to stock (Level 0) you don't get the code? (You can leave the Edge connected at Level 0 - it's just monitoring things).
Have you updated the firmware to the latest version? That COULD fix the problem.
However, if I were you, I'd call Bill at PHP and discuss your problem. If the Edge is at fault, and a firmware update can't fix it, you'd probably want to return it to Edge for a replacement. Others have done this in the past when they've had faulty units.
As far as trading for a Gryphon, assuming your Edge is OK, the process is simple. You just send off your Edge to PHP and for a small fee, you get a Gryphon in return, which is a rebranded Edge that Bill can tune.
Whatever, call Bill first! He'll help.
