Power Hungry Performance Update

Friends,

I guess some of you have notice that we haven't been on the forums, huh? As one of our church members told us, "If [we] didn't have bad luck, [we'd] have no luck at all!" We finally made it home from my grandmother's funeral in Missouri. On the way back home, I woke Bill up to tell him that he had to drive because my arms and hands weren't quite working right. Needless to say, I was back at the doctor as soon as we arrived home. I was sick before we started our road trip; the doctor had ruled out strep, but she had put me on antibiotics and steroids for pneumonia (again!). We're assuming that the steroids masked whatever else is going on because it's back with a vengeance.

My doctor seems to think that I have something called the adenovirus, which is sometimes mistaken for strep. She said that I'm showing one of the rare side effects where the virus is breaking down my muscles. Not only does my entire body feel like I have a raging fever (major muscle aches and weakness but without the fever), but since there's so much of this muscle breakdown waste, my kidneys are quite angry and can't process it fast enough. It's pretty scary because since it's viral, there's not a thing we can do about it except monitor my kidney function daily. (I HATE having my blood taken, and having it done every day REALLY stinks...) I am on pretty good pain meds, though, I must say.

Bill is back at his desk today. It's CRAZY how many e-mails and phone calls we had while we were away! Crazy in a good way... Our thanks go to all of you who are awaiting an answer to a phone call or an e-mail or awaiting a custom file. I wish I could help him out more, but you DON'T want me programming your truck.

Please pray for our family. We've certainly had our share of bad luck lately. I'm going to take my pretty white pill and go back to sleep now.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Both of you make sure you please take time to let yourselves heal (both physically and emotionally). Whenever Bill gets to my email is fine, it's nothing pressing. Get well soon.

Thanks Corey, for the update, especially considering how much effort it must have taken with what you are dealing with. You guys have really had a streak of "tests" lately. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Wow, that doesn't sound fun at all. Take care of yourself and get better soon.

My Gryphon gets delivered today, so that'll be another one on the pile for Bill to customize - but there is no rush, I definately understand that life comes first.

P.S. We'll need to have a chat on how you ship up to Canada.
