I'm confused. You want to run an Edge programmer as well as Superchip programmer? If that's the case, no. Pick one programmer and pick a new intake otherwise Jesus is going to weep.

From what i have heard but dont quote me is that even thought Edge and Superchips are both owned by MSD they do not work together.
Pretty much the only programmer that can be "Stacked" is Bully Dog,
But the only people that i know that have done that have done it on Powerstroked and Cummins powerplants.
It is entirely possible that edge nad superchips can e stacked but that might be to much informantion for you PCM to handle,
I would just stick with one or the other and get a custom tune for what you want.

That is true, you would be able to put the Jet chip in and program with the edge, The only thing is that you might have to play with you custom options to get it to perform right.
i would think that the edge wouldnt recognize the performance mods that the Jet gave to the truck. You would most likely have to adjust you custom settings because the edge would stil upload the "canned" tunes and im not totally sure what the canned tunes would work properly,
if you ever do decied to do that post if there is a significant change.

Do NOT try to mix match different tuning devices. This isn't a diesel and even than they use the same brand product to "stack chips". Get a Xcal2 from VMP tuning, the website was posted earlier. As well as gears, 4.56s or 4.88s if you ever plan to go a bigger tire size. The gears are going to make the biggest difference. But the tuning is going to help a lot with your shift points, you'll be able to adjust for your gears and tire size, ie: correct your speedometer.

as i said i'm a newbie

I've also heard mixed opinion on gears, most everyone says 4.10.....thinking of those with new underdrive pulleys, only problem is i suck at mechanical work..few people said bring the pulley to ford and have them install it. I'm pretty sure i'd be leaving there broke and with a sore azz

Im not great ar the GEAR, stuff, but it's my understanding if your not running anything bigger than 31's..... 4.10's will work well. As far as pulley's, I like the idea of it, and have thought about it, but many MANY people say that it's a waste esp. for these heavy **** trucks. If ya have a stang, or muscle car, then it's a little more "economical" (for lack of better word). I have been swayed from the the pulley's to the idea of dual 16" efan's. Heard a lot of +'
s with the Efans, when installed, and put in correctly. (Not using the plastic tie's that you run through the fins of the radiator) those tend to rub through the core, and cause radiator leak. Best idea I heard was fabing brackets and installing them using the radiator support brackets..ect..ect...

Sorry, kind of getting off topic!!

As for the UD pullies, other than my tuner, if I could only do one other mod, it would be them. I "FELT" those the most of any mod. I felt them on my 5800lb beast, so I would encourage getting some, and at $130, they were def. my cheapest mod, and have the best bang for the buck.
