are the tunes I got 05_sprcrw, and they all work excellent but the 93 max is my weapon of choice; it’s real sweet, still feels as fresh today as day one & I get a solid 16mpg local driving
Thanks and is that 16mpg more highway or intown? I am getting right at 14.4 in town driving stock.

Hey you know what, I made a mistake, I have 87-octane performance

87-octane performance
93-octane tow-preferred
93-octane max-performance

the 87 performance was the first load as I remember it now (back in 04) because I had 87 in the tank big big difference in everything, shifting, throttle response power, etc, etc, etc, you know what I mean

so the 87 pro is a big improvement over stock? I think I will have to go that route...

I agree with jpdadeo, 93 octane is worth it. When it really comes down to it, you're not spending THAT much more for a whole tank. Not to mention you will get better gas mileage with 93 octane as well as it's better for the motor. I ran 93 octane since a 1,000 miles on my 2006 F150. At 15,000 miles I pulled the fuel filter and it was perfectly clean. I ran the numbers when I had that truck and the gain in mpg almost made it an even exchange instead of using 87.

What kind of numbers could I realistically expect from yours? I am planing on runing 87 with a banks ram air intake, and roush off road exhaust on a 05 5.4 screw.... thanks I am interested in mpg improvements mostly, but also would like a prof. tune as well
It varies from truck to truck, but I have been seeing really good gains on the dyno even with 87 octane in the tank. Figure around 10-20hp and 10-20tq gain peak, and 20-30hp and 20-30tq gain through some parts of the curve. There is also a huge improvement in throttle response with a tune. I can do some little things for gas mileage without hurting performance.
