Xcal 3
I definately like it.
The power gains are there. I haven't dynoed it, but I can only assume it should be around what other N/A "tuned" guys are making. I got "custom" tunes, so I didn't really mess with the software, but I did make a test tune for my roommate's V6 Mustang while I waited for mine to come in, and it was easy enough. I've also done my dad's 4.6 F150, but I couldn't go "wild" there since he gets 87 gas from work. Still, though, it got rid of the annoying throttle delay, among the other basic goodies.Detuned it, though, and decided to put it in the F250. Figured it would be more "fun" there.
Woops, lol, looks like we've strayed off-topic.:o

so you are saying that if i get the sniper tuner i should be able to us it on both of my trucks. There are alot of guys here that get annoyed really easy. I know how to use the search button and i have. but the confusing part is when i hear that you could by an xcal tuner from someone used and if it is returned to stock you can use it on your truck. my thing is if thats the case wouldnt i be able to buy to set of custom tunes one for my 4.6 and one for my 5.4. and lets say i uplod the tunes for the 5.4 and us which ever one suits me and then return the tuner back to stock and then load the custom 4.6 tunes and us the tune that best suits me. I know someone is goin to jump in and bash me again but this is a learing curve for me. im sorry if im beating a dead horse but some of these post can get confusing sometimes. now if you are telling me that the sniper tuner can work on multiple vehicles and at the same time there is some one that can provide custom tunes for that may be the best way for me to go.
You can only use a Xcal on ONE vehicle at a time. If you return the vehicle back to stock, than you could buy another set of custom tunes for the "new" vehicle and load them onto that without any problems. Xcals can not be programmed for more than one vehicle at the same time.

For the Sniper, yes, it will work on two or more vehicles at the same time. The box itself will hold up to 6 different tunes (be it for the same vehicle or multiple ones) but as far as I know, there is no limit on the number of vehicles you can have tuned at the same time (then again, it's not like you're going to be tuning your whole town's Ford car population.
)
The package comes with two "bullets" (one bullet per vehicle), and you can purchase additional ones later.
As far as tuners, yea, there are some. Mine was Matt. There's a list of them on the Sniper forum. The thing going for Troyer, though, is that he does have years of experience with the F150.
