I remember when I was a little boy and itching to be old enough to get my license and drive a car that my brother-in-law would tell me that by the time I got my license gas would be $1.00 a gallon and nobody would be able to afford to drive!

I would often have a hard time going to sleep at night because I would lay there thinking about how I was going to be robbed of this great experience and that there wouldn't even be enough gas around to drive my snowmobile!

To this day, when my wife asks me if there's anything I worry about in life, I tell her that it's that we might run out of gas and not have anything to drive snowmobiles with.......

Oh yeah -- tunes. One of these days, one of these days.........

I don't know anything about a gas mileage tune. I got 17.16 on the first tank around town and freeways, running the 87 Performance tune. I am pleased with that in a Supercrew with a 5.4.

Bluejay... How much power did you lose changing tune from 93 to 87 ? Right now I run custom 93 tune on my evo but gas here is $3.65 gallon now. I might be using the 87 tune. Your thoughts... Thanks Greg

I definitely lost a little, but not enough for me to get too excited about. The main problem I had with the canned 87 tune was it's shifting characertistics, did not downshift well when you got on it, and it faded fast above 60 mph, when I needed it for passing on 2 lane highways. So, I used the canned 93 almost exclusively. Now, with the 87 Performance, those negatives are gone. I can be running from 35 to 70 and need to drop down and it does it instantly. Since I no longer feel the need to run 93, I will save $4 to $5 a week in gas and be satisfied. It will pay for itself in less than 6 months. The 93 performance tune is awesome, i know I will want to feel it occasionally. I'm about to go on a short trip, it will save about $12 just on the trip.

Same boat here. Running my 93 custom tune from bill and love it. However gas is getting so high now I requested a 87 tune. It will be hard to make myself use it when I add it to my edge. But I feel much better knowing I'll have it if I ever want to change to 87 if gas gets to high.

Bill, just a note. I was driving on the trip last night. The highway was narrowing from 2 lanes to one and some dingus was in the outside lane even with my back bumper and keeping me from passing the car in front of me. At 70 mph I hit it, the downshift kicked in and away we went. I'm loving the tunes, man. I had a blast driving for almost 5 hrs last night. BTW, that is on the 87 Performance tune.
