You guys sure are aging yourselves.

I'll give my review after I get my tunes.

When I bought my truck in 05 gas was just under 2 bucks here. Pretty soon we'll be back in horse drawn carriages.

Probably, because they'll start using it to make ethanol.

(And to Stealth, was that a bunch of old, new farts or a bunch of new, old farts?)

My first tank on the 93 Performance was 15.0 down from my usual 16.5. The way I drove it might have been a factor. I never drive easy, but I was really into feeling the responsiveness. I am on the 87 Performance tune this week, so will see what that does.

I remeber the summer I graduated high school in 97,I thought $1 a gallon was expensive.I could fill my truck for $30 at that rate now,man that would be nice. Can't believe it over tripled in 11 years.

Ran my first tank on the 87 Performance tune and I am quite pleased. Even driving it the way I did. 17.16 mpg. That is up about .5 from the canned tune, and much better shifting and drivability.

BTW, that is driving around the Metroplex, freeway and city.

Since I've finally quit flooring the damn thing at every opportunity I find my mpg with the 93 perf tune has gone up a bit, just under or right at 1 mpg increase.

All in all, I'm gonna say that the 3 performance mods I've done have gained me about 3 mpg highway, maybe 1.8 in city.

Not bad considering the sounds and totally kick-*** hp and tq increases!!

And as far as old-timey gas prices.. I think .15 to .18 a gallon is the lowest I remember.. I was a kid back then, not driving, but remember my Dad and Grampa and uncles trying to save 1 or two cents.. LOL

I can remember how they CUSSED when it hit .50 a gallon. Jimmy Carter.

About the time I started driving it got up around $1 a gallon.. remember how the gas pumps couldn't handle $1?.. Some had to make they're prices .50 for a half-gallon?

Ahhhhh, the good old days!!
