Don't you remember a while back when people were reporting slower times with the updates? I guess that's why people don't want to update.

 

If you don't have a problem and you are updating just because it's out there, it's foolish. The vast majority of updates are there to solve a known problem, in fact maybe all of them, not enhance the program, so if you don't have the problem that needs fixing, why invite a new peroblem. Bill himself agreed to this. The only update I have done on mine in a year and a half, is Bill's custom tunes and they are worth the money. He has my truck shifting exactly the way I wanted and when I wanted, on the first try. The downshifting in traffic at speed is just awesome.

 

As many have already stated, many of the updates are to address specific drivability issues. If you don't have a problem, I'd recommend that you don't update.
