Does anyone know if and how often you should update your edge or just leave it alone. How much do the updates really help?

 

I don’t have an Edge but I know updates are important and needed to stay up to date. Go to Edge’s web sight and see what’s new

 

I would update each time an official release from Edge is offered.

 

I looked on edges web site and could not find any specific updates. I did download the lighting software though. I have heard that if you update your edge it may cause more problems. Does anyone know if this is true.

If your edge is working fine, there's no point in updating it. Everytime you tune and retune a truck you are asking for trouble. Just load level 3 and leave it there. You PCM will take care of the rest. I've been running level 3 since 160,000 miles or so. I'm now at 236,000 and I've never run anything but level 3. I only run 87 octane, and E-85 whenever I can get it.
