The latest Evo update had the latest cals for the F150, so if they did "happen" to update the PCM you shouldn't have a problem.

How recently did you update? If you updated from Fusion after 1/30/2008 then you have the latest stuff.

As of 1/30/2008 the versions are:

Firmware - 2.50.4482
Calibration - 1.0.4430

Jon,

I guess you could just have them check to see if there are any updates available for your ECM. I can't think of a way to suggest it without sounding a little suspicious since I don't know of any specific drivability issues that you could suggest that would prompt them to check for an update. Most of the time, the techs check it on their own because it's an easy hour of labor they can make, so you may want to just see if they handle it themselves.

I meant to ask, is there a specific reason to be concerned for an update, or do you just want to avoid future problems?

Take care.

theres lack of throttle response and the truck wont downshift in fourth going up a hill until theres like 80% load on the enigne, which make the intake drone like hell...... should i just take out the edge and tell them that?

TXGirl,

I sent you an email back on the 30th of Jan but never heard anything back from you so I figured you got all squared away. I apologize for the confusion.

If you have time tomorrow, I can walk you through the download and update processes. Just give me a shout in the afternoon and we'll knock it out in a couple minutes.

Take care.

Bill

That should work. At least give them something to look at and a reason to update the PCM.

I just want to make sure you know that you're going to be paying for it, right?
