It can be running lean without throwing a code. It can be running lean without hearing the pre detonation rattle. The CAI gives such small return, why keep worring about it? Just run the stock intake unless you get custom tunes. What would an intake give you? 5 hp? Not worth the concern. You've already fretted about it too much.
