The wait is long but the rewards are huge. Give the XCAL III a shot

I'd go with a custom tuned Xcal2 from Justin at VMP Tuning.

Troyer Performance. The wait is worth it for the absolute safest, most powerful tunes available for these trucks.

oh wow i see we have folks dediated to each tuner guy.the guys that went with vmp are happy as well as the folks that went with troyer so far the disadvantage with troyer is time.but it should be worth the wait.this is a hard decision.at least i know to go with the xcal2.do they tune these programmers then send these to you?i was looking at options and i didnt see the rear gear option for 4:88 and im not sure what option tune 1 2 3 are.i am very new to tuners.so i apreciate the feedback and suggestions.

Make that 4 votes for Troyer.

Although I vote for Troyer there is probably nothing wrong with going with Justin at VMP. To the OP, you're simply not going to get an unbiased answer to your question. Anyone who went with Troyer is going to say go with Troyer and anyone who went with VMP is going to say go with VMP. Troyer performance specializes in custom tuning the F150's while VMP specializes in custom tuning Mustang's, but also does custom tuning for the F150. For me that's what made my decision.

These threads always end up that way. The guys with VMP say go with VMP while the guys with Troyer say go with Troyer.

I have tunes from neither one, so I say do your research and go with whomever you want!

Justin also used to write tunes, etc for SCT who produces the Xcal2, Xcal3, Livewire, etc.
