The Edge works perfect except for one thing, when I turn off the truck the Edge won't turn off. The Edge keeps restarting over and over. The only way to shut it off is to put the key back in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position (not start) and then back to off and take out the key. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it's rather annoying to have to sit in the drivers seat performing the above procedure every time you turn off the truck. There are a few exceptions, after you reprogram the truck (any reprogram will do, level 1-3 or anything custom, it doesn't matter, you can rewrite the exact same program that is already programed into the ECU) the Edge will operate normally for somewhere between 1/4 - 1/2 tank of gas, then it goes back to having the same problem. Also, sometimes, not very often, when you fill up the tank and top it off, the Edge will start working normal again on it's own, but only for the 1/4 - 1/2 tank or so, then the problem returns. I can't figure it out. It has all the current updates from the Lightning software (I have the older model Edge, the manufacture date was 04/2005), and has always worked perfectly, but it also has always had this problem.

Does anyone else have this problem??? Does anyone know how to fix it?? I called Edge and all they said was to update it with the most recent firmware, which it already had...

I had a similar issues when I used my remote starter.
I set the truck back to stock, took the edge out for a full day and drove to and from work, reinstalled it the next day and the problem was gone?????

Who knows, might work for you too.

Have you talked to Edge? I'd look at sending that in and getting a new one. Sounds like you mighta got yerself a bad'un.
