Personally, I think they rushed it.

SCT has never been one for good manuals though.

the manual does suck, but the tuner is pretty self explanitory-do what it tells you

i can figure out how to tune it. lol i guess that was my fault. i meant to explain how dumb it is and how it does not go anywhere in depth as to what different things do. i would like to see at least a brief description of each setting and what it adjusts. also the updating the firmware or w.e is extremely confusing with 0 help what so ever. i have put my truck on 87 and left it. some poeple talk about tow economy and performance, i dont see this as an option in the canned tunes. i also get those screwed up screens that another poster had and was apparently bashing mike troyer because his "pampers were full" was how RP put it. i believe i got those after trying to update. so if anyone knows how to update the firmware and could maybe shoot me the lowdown i would be much obliged. gracias.

with myself having no real knowledge of the insides of a tuner (all i did was load the custom tunes and left it-I dont adjust anything thats why i got custom) im gonna suggest CALMLEY AND NICELY call whoever you got the tuner from and explain to them your problem and see if they can help you

Go to sctflash.com then to the support/downloads & drivers section and find the software and firmware for the X3. The instructions on how to do the update is there..only works on an XP machine though Updater software is version 1.33, the firmware ver. is 1.1.131 Hope this helps
