so ive been searching and searching. a while back someone posted a step by step of downloading the updates from edge.

anyone know where those steps are?

everyone claims its safe to download now without getting any new bugs.

 

Why would you want to upgrade? are you going to gain more power? prally not, I would keep it working unless you want a 6k paperweight in your yard

 

no i do have problems. on level 3 there is a shutter, kinda s jerking motion at highway speeds. someone else posted and said they downloaded some updates and everything is better.

i agree, i couldnt stand my truck breaking down because of a bad program, but if i cant use every setting of my edge at will, owning the thing is a waste of money.

 

FX4TEXASGIRL yes if your having the shutter issue you need to flash your Edge to the latest version. Bill has fixed that issue. Im sure if you go the Edges website it will show you how to flash your unit. Its also in the manual how to flash it with the lighting software.

I updated the latest and I felt as if I lost power. I was v21 with calibration 22. I think that is how it is.
F150FX: What kind of gas mileage are you getting on Level 3?

 

The latest updates cured my egde level 3 shudder.

 

possible winter gas mix, bad milage and less performance

 

This was in early Nov, when I first got the edge. Then about 2 weeks later I updated to latest v28 non beta and truck didnt feel the same. I added a K&N Drop in since then and that was a little better. I have not run Level 3 yet because Im to cheap to run Premium Fuel. But if it yields better fuel economy to justify the cost then I would. Right now im getting crappy gas mileage between 14 and 15 according to the edge. I filling up today or tomorrow and will get a real calculation#.
