Edge Evolution

I see a lot of guys on this forum are using the edge evolution on their 2004 and newer f150's. I have an 07 supercrew with the 5.4l engine. I have always been annoyed by the way it seems to hesitate upon acceleration, especially when loaded. Does anyone using the Edge Evolution know if it will cure this hesitation.

The Edge will indeed bring your truck to life assuming you leave it stock ( NO CAI, NO custom exhaust) If you start modding it, you could be in for issues. My truck started running lean with my Edge due to my CAI and Magnaflow exhaust.

its the intake that causes problems. an edge unit with custom exhaust will be perfectly fine.

I too had issues with my CAI and edge, and mine did have a little acceleration lag. Custom Tuning will fix all of this for you, and for a smaller price then the edge evolution.

Check out my signature, I have the Edge Evo, 3" CAT back exhaust, and the AirAid CAI, all on just about the same truck that you've got. Everything works beautifully. I don't get the drone problem that many others do with the CAI. Every now and then, usually when I'm towing, I'll get a small drone around 2000 rpm, but it doesn't bother me anywhere near enough to take off my CAI. And YES, the Edge Evo cured the acceleration lag that my truck had, and I drove it for months with just the Edge, next came the exhaust, last was the CAI. And the transition when adding the new parts was flawless. I love the Edge Evo, but I'm probably going to upgrade to the XCAL with TP custom tunes so I can get the most out of my truck.
