how many lengths?
how many lengths?
don't know if this is the right place to post but anyways...
i have a 02 f150 5.4 3.55gears ext. cab, 4x4, 285/75/17 cooper stt tires STOCK, and i have a buddy with a 06 chev. crewcab, 4x4 3.73gears, 5.3, 285/75 tires, 4x4, chipped, air intake,tb spacers, exhaust... and he wants to race. we would race 1/2mile, and he would give me any length and he says he'd beat me... So how many would i need to make this close? I know that chev would beat me stock vs stock, and now he has all the goodies?

The gearing alone is going to hurt pretty bad. He might get you off the line but you could catch up at around 80-90. Figure both trucks are slow and could pull 17sec 1/4's at the end of the 1/4 you will be doing 70-90mph. Your governer will kick in at 100-105 and he is chiped and will keep cruising. Have him line up at your tailgate and you might have a chance.
well he lined up at my tailgate and beat me by 2.5-3 lengths... raced 3 times same outcome... On a sidenote, was with the same guy in his chev and his uncle just bought a new tundra, and damn that thing FLYS, he beat the chev by 1.5-2 lengths...
