Engine programmers worth it?

I see so many of these things in the classifieds for sale. It makes me wonder if they don't work that well or cause problems.

For the people that have them what do you think?

Some people trade vehicles more often than they do underwear so it's no surprise they change their mind about mods! I have the Edge and would not want to be without it.

On the 05, had a TP xcal2 - 93 max tune - until traded it at 20k miles

06 - same TP xcal2, new custom tunes for this pcm - 93 max tune - running since 1100 miles. Have 43k now. Plan on keeping truck till the wheels fall off. I really like my truck but I would not own a Ford truck if they could not be tuned. They are complete gutless slugs with no midrange or top end performance without one.

On my second tuner for my 05 screw, went from canned tune to custom tune. Most people selling there tuners here got rid of there trucks. If you get one you wont be sorry.

yeah I know it is but I plan on getting the truck custom tuned on the dyno like I did with the cobra. No need for the high priced 3 when I can easlily find a cheaper 2 somewhere.

At Troyer the xcal3 is the same price as the Xcal2.
