Dead Battery.

I was wondering, I haven't drove my truck for about two days and the only thing that is plugged in is the Evolution. Of course it isn't on, but I was wondering if it would cause a dead battery after 2 days of not driving it.

No the Evo has nothing to do with it. It could be your battery. Many here have complained about the stock battery.

OEM batteries blow! I did not drive my truck for 2 days and it was dead! Get this? it's only been as cold as 35 the last couple of days. I'll be replacing it with a Optima Red Top

I haven't had any luck with the Optima batteries. We used to run them in the diesels and after a couple days of sitting you'd need to jump them to get the truck started. I think they just don't like being left alone for a couple days and they get cranky. (Or NOT cranky as the case may be)

I have had very good luck with Interstate and DieHard, although I tend to stay away from anything Maintainence Free. I like being able to check fluid level in the battery.

Best of luck.

Bill

DieHard Platinum
DieHard has been the best battery for me. Ive used them in both my F150 trucks and seem to last forever!

On the optimum, which battery did you use yellow top or red top?

Thanks for your input fellas!! And I LOL'd at the no crank joke, funny sense of humor I guess! When I get paid next week I will be buying a new battery. The last thing I want is to leave my truck somewhere on a snowmobile trip and come back to a dead battery! I will do some research between the "red" top and the DieHard as they seem to work for others.

They might have been the yellow tops, but I can't really remember. Sorry...

Not a problem. The reason I ask is because the yellow tops are deep cell batterys. The Red top is more of your everyday battery.
