edge is a canned tune, written for a stock truck, and is supposed to be universal to each truck. however, since each truck has a different strategy code and different factory tune, the canned tune cannot perfectly tune your vehicle. The canned Edge tune is also meant for a stock truck only, no modifications.

A Troyer tune is custom tailored to your vehicle, to all your mods, driving habits, maintenance etc. The ****s are set better, the transmission feels a ton better, and it has more bpower throughout the RPM band.

I've had the edge and now have troyer tunes and i highly reccomend you get Troyer tunes over the Edge, since you will end up getting them in the future anyways.

So do you still purchase the module?
All the mods i have so far is exhaust and a K&N air filter!

What could one expect to pay for Troyer tunes?

I wish I lived close enough that I could go to Troyer's and throw my truck up on the dyno. Would really love to see what my truck is pushing with the Xcal II & Troyer custom tunes, AF1 and the new gears. Running my first tank of 92octane and the 92 performance tune for the first time. I like the feel of the truck, but I get the feeling that I should be getting more. I also just changed out my AF1 filter for the first time after 11k miles som maybe that'll make a little bit of a difference.

Just call them up, we don't discuss prices on the board. You'll get a discount for being a member on here.

This is true but how many people have mods and are very happy with there Edge. Hell if I didnt run lean I would have stayed with my Edge, it did everything I wanted it to do and more. And to spend around $450 for a tuner just to get another tuner at the same price just doesnt make sense.

BTW? Any idea as to what I can sell my Edge for????
I will pm you on price. I really had no issues either and to be honest if I didnt run lean I would have kept it. But on another note I cant wait to get my tunes.

When you fill out his sheets it asks you for your computer code which is on your passengers side fire wall (4 digits #s and letters) and a stratagy code (7#s and letters) Which you need a computer/programer to get it. I had the Edge and thats the Hex code. So if you give them those two #s they will not charge your CC until it ships. I you cant give then the stratagy code they will ship you the Xcal2-3 so you can retrieve the stratagy and charge your cc upfront. Then your tunes will be e-mailed to you. Keep in mind if you visit the dealer and they install a new tune into your pcm the stratagy will change.

Just got the call from Anita a few hours ago...my new Xcal 3 & AF1 3.5 are on the way. Mike did my tunes and decided to upgrade me from the Xcal2 to the 3.

Looking forward to trying out the new stuff when I return from Thanksgiving break!

Turned in sheets Sept. 25th.

Got the call stuff was shipping Nov. 19th. I'm sure shipping will get screwed up with the holidays.

I'm using mine for the gauges at the moment. I've never had a problem with my Edge, but I'm excited about receiving my Troyer tunes. I may sell my Edge or keep it? Not sure yet?

I'm keeping mine for sure. I've already paid for it and I like the gauges too much to sell it. That's my speedometer.

I'm kinda leaning towards the same way. Unless someone make me an offer I can't refuse!
