Ok dammit.. need details about the 4.6 doing a 7.6 run.. LOL

Is it a reg cab, scab, screw? gears? intake? octane and shift settings?

4.6 screw with 3.55 here and just recently got tunes from Troyer here.. I haven't tried a 0-60 run yet but I was only hoping to get into the 9 second range..

Nice!!

I just ran a 6.86 last night. My first 0-60 since I got my gears.

'06 Screw with 5.4
custom 2.5" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
K & N drop in
Edge level 3
Precision 4.10 gears
OEM 20's

I should have my Troyer tunes and AF1 3.5 in a week or two. I'm hoping to hit 6.5 or so once I get that.

...on any 4.6 NBS Scab F150 running in the 7's, or any Screw 5.4's running in the 6's with the mods listed.

It's well known that the ET function on the Edge is grossly inaccurate - even ASE has indicated same.

Apart from that, the numbers don't jive using any of the readily available estimation utilities.

Sorry to burst yer bubble, but there ain't no way around the physics here.

Right about now, I suspect all you guys will be in denial and in the process of wadding up yer panties and charging up yer flamethrowers. Tough.

Here - this should inject some reality into y'all ==>

Makes sense. I had used the 0-60 feature in the Edge before and gotten in the 7's before the gears but then when I went to the track I ran a 16.9 I was like WTF? Didn't add up.

LOL.. yeah, I was wondering why there was no s'charger listed on those mods.. or a huge wet shot of nitrous..

But in the spirit of what the OP said, is it possible to break 10 seconds with a 4.6 screw running Troyers 93 perf tune?

well im just gonna believe what my edge says whether grossly inflated or not. the cookie jar is a scab v8, 3.55 gears, 93 ocTANE on level 3 settings as follows:
5250(x2), 4800
5600
shift firm 12, 12, 9
wot fuel 1.5
timing .75
200 limiter
adjusted tire size accordingly to 265/60/18

Ok... did you mesure you tires by just the size or by making a mark on the ground and rolling one rev and then multablying by something i cant remember. but i did it by just the size and my 0-60 was 5.7 but then i did it right and now im at 7.8 sec not horriable but i liked it better when i thought it was 5.7 haha

That's fine. My point was not to chastise, but to enlighten. There's nothing "or not" about it - it's innaccurate.

You can readily confirm using the calculator that comes with the Edge Lightning software or any other freebie utility. Even a G-tech is more reliable since it does not get fooled by slip/wheelspin and a host of other skew factors.

Just fyi - so chill and have a frosty, lol.

No, I'm sorry but your truck is not turning sub 8 second 0-60 runs.. You need a supercharger or nitrous to be that quick.

Or doing your runs downhill with a 30 mph tailwind, like Norm said..

Quit using your Edge for et's and just hold a stopwatch in your hand.. hell, your cell phone has a stopwatch function.. use it. I'm sure you can click it to within +/- 1 second..

I suspect you're at best in mid to high 9's, and that's nothing to sneeze at with a 5,800 lb truck!

hey i hear what you're saying i know its not a true time cant be with just a cai, a maggie setup and a little chip on a work truck, but it sounds so sexy.

polpilot- my measurement system is as follows.. use the manual formula and multiple your final number by 5% and your speedo and edge speedo will be off by about 1 mph.
