brand:superchips
model:F150 5.4L Superchip
cold air intake:
brand:AIRAID
model:Hi Flow Intake System (find for '01)
exaust system:
brand:Flowmaster
model:50 Series SUV Force II
torque converter:
brand:B & M
model:Holeshot 2400 Series 1997-2004 Ford F-150
(or a torque dampener, i dont know the difference)
injection pump:
brand:AC Delco
model:Injection Pump Solenoid 1975-2001 Ford F-150
fuel injectors:
brand:CVU
model:1986-2002 Ford F-150
transmission gears:
i dont know the exact size i think its like 4.74 or something close to that
turbocharger:
dont know about the kind of turbocharger or if i should even get one

torque converter:

model:Holeshot 2400 Series 1997-2004 Ford F-150 YOU HAVE A MANUAL TRANS. NO TORQUE CONVERTER
(or a torque dampener, i dont know the difference)
injection pump:
brand:AC Delco..... DOES IT NEED AN INJECTION PUMP
model:Injection Pump Solenoid 1975-2001 Ford F-150.... ONCE AGAIN, DOES IT NEED IT?
fuel injectors:
brand:CVU..... ARE THE INJECTORS BAD?
model:1986-2002 Ford F-150
transmission gears:.... DO YOU MEAN DIFFERENTIAL GEARS? A 4.74 RATIO WILL INCREASE YOUR PERFORMANCE BUT KILL YOUR MPG'S
i dont know the exact size i think its like 4.74 or something close to that
turbocharger:
dont know about the kind of turbocharger or if i should even get one....TURBO WILL IMPROVE PERFORMANCE...... BUT IT'S STILL ALOT OF $$$
shifter:
brand:Hurst
model:Short Shifters .... I DON'T THINK YOU'RE GOING TO FIND AN APPLICATION FOR YOUR TRUCK. IT IS A TRUCK. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU WANT A MUSTANG.

your truck has a manul tranny and you asking us about a b&m torque converter? you dont have a converter and have no use for one.
buy a tuner and spend the rest of that money on gas. get lower gears. will multiply the motor's torque so you can get going faster and as long as you dont drive around with your foot through the floor, youll get better milliage as well

so
if i were to make any changes
i would make it with the cold air intake, some kind of outtake for the exhaust, maby the gearing, my friend has a manual and hes thinking about a torque dampener i discovered after i posted this that the converter was not for manuals, i dont know if the dampener will do anything either
thanks for all the advice now i know what not to waist my time/money on and narrowed it down to bare things

Just how much power do you want? What kind of fuel economy are you getting right now? You've got almost the premo economy setup already. What size cab do you have? What gears are already in your truck? If we now what exactly you have, then a more realistic solution can be looked at.
If you're even a little serious about forced induction, it won't happen on that six cylinder.
I would think if you have a reg cab and a short box, you have a very light weight truck. With the 2wd and manual tranny I would sure think you should be getting upwards of 15 mpg already.
How many miles do you have on that engine, and how long are you planning on keeping the truck?
If you were going to keep that truck for years, I would consider a 5.4 engine swap--for starters.
Of course the real important question is: what is your budget?
Seriously if mpg is a real concern, adding thousands of dollars of bolt-ons doesn't make much sense.
let us know just what you've got.
