Xcal2

I'm looking at an XCAL2 on eBay that says it is for a focus. Are there different XCAL2's for different models? In other words, will this work on an F150? Thanks, Mac

Hi.

If it is a Model 9400, it's a custom tuner - only the tuning is specific. This unit can be unlocked, erased and reprogrammed by an SCT tuning dealer for your truck - tunes will cost you some $ - not too bad.

If it's a 9415SF , it's the 'canned' version - preloaded with tunefiles direct from SCT - these have tunes for a wide range of vehicles ... see this link:

Try to get a specific model number.

BTW - it's worth noting that a 9415SF can be converted to a 'blank' Xcal2, in preparation to accept custom tunes. This is done via a free utility available on SCT's site - it's a one-time, one-way operation. http://www.sctflash.com/download.php ... Liveload 3, v1.3.1.

Good luck
