Need help with Hypertech Max Energy....

Ok, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I just bought a crappy product. I have a 2007 F-150 4X4 STX with a 4.6L V8. I bought Hypertech Max Energy part # 42003 for 2004-2007 Ford Gas F-150s. I installed the software and updated the device via the Internet. However, whenever I hook it up to my truck it says that my callibration is not supported. So, do I have to wait on an update to use a product that was supposed to work out of the box? I sure am glad there is a 30 day guarantee!

Mizzoucat,

Sorry you weren't able to program your truck this weekend, but lucky for us its an easy fix. The “calibration not supported” means that your truck was flashed with an updated calibration from Ford that Hypertech hasn’t seen. Being that your Max Energy is internet updatable all you have to do is connect your Max Energy to your computer, once you do that you will be asked if you would like to receive an email when your calibration is supported. Simply click yes and in 2 - 4 business days you will have your update and you will be able to program your truck. If you need any help with this please shoot me a PM.

I appreciate your help. In fact I received an e-mail with an update in less than 12 hours (much better than the 2-4 days you quoted ). I hooked it back up to my truck and everything works beautifully. Coupled with my new Magnaflow SI/DO, the Hypertech Max Energy performs very well. Coming from someone who was frustrated at first, and from someone who has read all of the negative posts here on Hypertech, I can HIGHLY recommend the Hypertech Max Energy, and would recommend those not wanting to wait on custom tunes to give them a shot.
