Edge Screen Problem

It seems everytime I get into my truck after it sits in the hot Florida sun, that the edge screen goes almost completley black. After I get my air going it eventually turns back to normal. Does anybody else have this happen to them?

Yes, Even here in Minnesota...but thats the way it is with any screen gets direct sunlight to it for hours. I try to park in the shade when its real bad...or just take it out of its pod or put something over it to block the direct sunlight on it.

Happens here in AZ also. That is just one of the properties of a LCD screen.

Same would be true with any LCD screen in heat. Just a property of the crystals getting hot. Venting with your windows may help a little.

If you're going to let it sit for an extended time, I would suggest you take it out of the truck.

I have to do the same with my Sat radio and Scanguage occassionally.

Just adding to the FIRE same here the temp has been upper 90's all week with a heat index well over 100! Mine does the same. I actually started turning my light off during the day and at night when I drive turn it on. This way It doesnt seem to bother me as much because I hate driving during the day when it happens. Im now curious to see how it going to act in the COLD weather??
