Question For Mike T.

Mike,

In a reply to another thread you stated that you guys at Troyer Performance had made a R&D break through for the 04 and up 5.4 N/A trucks running 93 octane tunes. Could you provide some more info? I would be very interested in coming to see you guys and giving it a try. Thanks in advance.

First - as always, for timely communication, you'll want to give us a call, as I cannot get here every day. As much as I'd like to be here every day like I used to, I just can't, unfortunately - so just FYI, if you want to reach us about something, call us, OK? Otherwise, you may have a wait in some cases before I can get back here, and assuming that I see the post - this is just FYI so you'll know the best way to communicate with us quickly, or in a "timely" manner I guess I should say, as I hate to have anyone feeling ignored!!

Now, on to your question (and thanks for asking!) - All I can tell you is that we have found a new way to gain another 5-8 RWHP (depending on fuel quality, and it varies a LOT) on the naturally aspirated trucks, and anywhere from 10 to as much as 23 more RWHP on the supercharged trucks. As far as telling you what or how we are doing it, that we obviously cannot do, as it just teaches our competitors who are constantly stalking these boards and trying to copy us, etc.

It was something we were testing on and off over the past couple of years, and decided to incorporate about a couple of weeks ago or so, I don't' remember off the top of my head - but then just this past weekend, we implemented it in a different way to get the same results.

About every 3-4 months, we literally throw just about everything we're doing tuning-wise out the window (so to speak), and reinvent the wheel all over again. It's just one of the ways we stay sharp and on our toes, and make sure we are getting everything that can safely be gotten from these trucks.

If you'd like to give us a call to go over this and see if you would like to have your tunes updated with these changes, just give us a call & we'll be happy to speak with you about it.
