Edge and Hauling ??

So I did a search to no avail and figured I could start a thread without getting completely yelled at for a repost. I was wondering if it mattered what setting you were on when hauling something in the back of your truck? Now I understand the transmission adjustments etc. when you go from towing to performance mode, but say I am just putting one of my quads in the back of the truck...does it matter if I don't switch it out of the performance level? The quad only weighs about 500 to 600 pounds so it's not like a huge load, but will this amount of weight effect the transmission enough to do harm while on the performance tune? Any help would be appreciated.

its not the tranny to worry about its the detination of the engine from the spark curve and mixtures.
With just the 4 wheeler you"ll be fine. Adding your buddies in the cab, beer, food and gear you better get off level 3.
