when i try to downlaod the new software for updates everything goes fine when i start the lightning 3 program it says connect device to start/continue and when i do nothing happens its as if it isnt reading the device help please

Try reloading the USB driver

 

i dont know how to do that its not on my start menu or nothing

 

i had the same problem. when i installed the updated program it didnt deleat the previouse lightning so i had to go into program files and delete both lightning folders, restart my computer and download it again. try that
