Edge Level 3

I've been running level 2 for a few weeks now with some custom settings so I am pretty accustomed to how the truck drives and shifts. I filled up with 93 octane, switched to level 3 and loaded my previous adjustments into the system so everything would be correct. It seems like WOT shifts aren't near as harsh now on level 3. I still have the factory belt and on level 2 at WOT the belt would squeal pretty bad (need to buy a gatorback). Anyone else experience this same thing?

My shift firmness was still about the same. yes, I get the belt squeal on both Level 2 and 3.

Since you just loaded Level 3, you've also reset the PCM's adaptive learning. If you give the truck a few days to relearn your driving style, you'll likely notice some changes in the way the truck performs.

Just curious: did you also bump up the timing +1 since you're using 93 octane? Also, what other "previous adjustments" did you make?

Good point on the relearn, I had forgotten about that. takes a few days before it all kicks in. Also a good point on the timing.

C-17 Pilot,

Here are the adjustments I have made:

Timing +1
WOT Shift 1-2=5200 2-3=5200 3-4=4800
Shift Firmness 1-2=+4 2-3=+4 3-4=+2
Rev Limit 5400
WOT Fuel 1.5
Top Speed 110
Gear 3.55
Tire Size 2526mm (measured for 285/70/17s)

Hopefully in a few days the weather will clear and the pcm will adapt to the new tune so I can take it out and really see how it is.

Close to mine, except I have the first 2 shifts at 5250 and I have the pressure at +12.

I went back and reselected the level 3 option manually entering in the settings I had posted above, and its definitely running like it should now. I really need a new serpentine belt

Anytime I try to do any custom settings on my Edge it goes haywire. I just leave it on stock level 3 and let it along. I wish I could advance my timing and what not but oh well.

I can't run level 3 without having the dreaded tranny shudder condition, so I run level 2 with 93 octane and adjust the edge settings accordingly.
