I have the superchips 1815 for my 2005 Supercrew. Can i put the setting on PERFORMANCE without running 91 octane gas or with it mess up the motor?

No.

Page 1 of the 1815 manual ( available here: http://www.superchips.com/products.p...gers+%26+SUVs), clearly states 91 oct premium must be used for the perf & tow premium tunes.

You need to run the 87 oct tune if you want to run reg gas.

Yes, because that will unlock the tuner.

I'd advise you to spend some time reading that manual, as the answer to both those questions (and potentially any others) is in there....
