I'm confused!

OK, so this is a long story. Bought the edge and very happy. Adjusted all the settings tryin to get the most performance. Level 3, +3.00 on timing w/93 octane, max on shifting, and 1.5 on the fuel. It did relatively well, but I always felt like it had more left in it with my mods: K&N CAI, and Bassani cat-bak.
The other day I had a nagging feelin about the performance level so I indulged my hunch. I knocked the performance down to level 2, then added 35% more fuel(1.35), and put in +3.00 on the timing. Then I maxed out the shifting and raised the rpm to 5300 per shift.
So, originally the best I had ever posted on the G-Tech was a 15.64 at 88.3 in 40F at 50% humidity. This week I ran a 15.71 @88.3 in 65F at 85% humidity. This puzzles me because the high humidity has always hurt my performance as well as higher temps. Yet, I get better feelin performance on level 2. The throttle feels more responsive and it feels like it has more torque through the power band. It even picks up speed easier on an incline without downshifting. WTF?

Hiya - a lot of folks (well, at least BlueJay LOL!) insist that Level 2 is da bomb w.r.t torque. So maybe that's a confirmation of what you are feeling.

Remember - the old butt-dyno can be rather unscientific .

Also fyi - don't set that 3>4 shift any higher than 4700-4800 rpm.

Just the opposite for me..........sort of.......feels stronger on level 2, but I always get better times on level 3. I think your timing may be a little high for level 3(I'm guessing SE Texas is around sea level?). Edge says to bump timing 1/2 for every 1 octane. Level3 is intended for 91octane so if you have 93....you would go +1? Level2.....you could go +3 though?
