Several of them out there already.
I played around with one during the last Troyer Dyno-Day event.
They have a lot of nice features...

i had one and hated it..it was only out of the box for about 30 min then it was sent back. its not nearly as refined looking as the edge. i know it can do alot more than the edge can but its poorly designed imho. i would check it out in person first so you dont make the same mistake as me.

I have one. I think if I were to re-do it I would jave just gone Xcal-II but that is mostly because I havn't figgured out a good way to run the connection cable without it hanging somewhere in the way.

Thanks for all the responses, yea I think I'll wait until they come up with a cool little pod to mount that thing in...or just get the edge. There's probably very little difference in performance the livewire just has more information you can monitor...right?

No - I think you'll find the differences are significant, if the custom tunes are loaded.

If, on the other hand you mean the 'canned' tunes that come preloaded on the LW, you are probably right.

Other differences include complete datalogging support (coming soon lol), the native ability to hold several custom tunes to begin with, etc - still differentiate the products.

With Edge's new MAP pricing, the cost delta betwen the products is really not huge....

I have one. So far I have no complaints about it, just the cable would be better on the back rather than the bottom for my application.

I just got mine yesterday from Troyer Performance. I did have an Edge Evolution programmer. So far my thoughts on the Livewire are, the screen is hard to read sometimes depending on what the lighting conditions are, you have to play with the contrast and brightness level to get it right. Then when you get it right for the gauges, it screws up some of the other menus, the edge display was better. The cable to the OBII port was a better design on the Edge, it came out of the back instead of the bottom and has a 90 degree angled plug on the OBII connector instead of coming straight out. The Edge has different PID's that I used were the Livewire doesn't have yet. Hopefully SCT will resolve the problems, I'm sure they will like Edge has with their unit. I went with the Livewire for the bigger display, for displaying more PID's and for the custom tunes from Mike. Now the tunes from Mike, IMO so far, is my truck has better throttle response than the Edge and my truck seems to idle smoother. It just seems more refined. Now the performance difference I can't tell by the seat of the pants feel, but I understand the seat of the pants feel is not an accurate measurement of performance anyways. Both were better then the stock feel though! Now saying this, if I had the choice between the Livewire or the Edge, I would choose the Livewire knowing the potential of this unit. Maybe should have waited until they refined their product. Oh well, nothing beats being a genie pig! By the way, thanks for everything over @ Troyer Performance!

Will the livewire display the temp of the tranny fluid?

I called them today, and the guy on the phone told me it will display that on the diesel models but was not sure if it would on the F150... ( I asked him to find out for me and we got disconnected...)

It does not display the tranny fluid temp at this time on the F-150. I put a post on their user forum and asked them if they could add that PID for the Livewire. Ryan from SCT took the request to their engineers to see if they could add that to the Livewire in a future firmware upgrade. Just got to wait now to see if they follow thru!
