Best programmer?
I have been trying to figure out what performance chip is the best, for my 01 F150 5.4 Triton SuperCrew, between SuperChip, diablo-predator, Hypertec( programmer 3), Edge, Jet,

Troyer Perfomance tunes.

Hey F150SC, Give Mike Troyer a call because IMO, his custom tunes are da’bomb, they won’t disappoint; best bang for the buck performance mod I’ve done
I’ve used Mikes tunes in my 2004 5.4L since the get go, and have never, never had a problem; ultra reliable
... and for the DIY types out there theres also the tweecer, sniper tuning, and an upcoming(hopefully) diablosport personal use cmr.

Go with Troyer Performance you will be glad you did. I think the Edge might be cool to have the gauges but look at all the problems people have with their Edges. I do not want to take a chance when I plug something into my truck and hope it works, forget that. Hey if it doesn't work then all it will cost you is the cost of a tow to the dealer and about $75 for them to reflash your truck. Good luck . Go with what works best, Troyer.
No particular tuner is more "reliable" than another, because they all work almost exactly the same way. You will see a lot more edge problems on this website because there are countless more edge modules floating around, compared to Troyer's. I did a writeup on tuners a while back. Check it out, and see how you feel.
"Thinking about a tuner"
I did this BEFORE SCT released the "livewire", so if you're interested in custom tuning with guages, that might be for you. Good luck on your decision.
P.S. If somebody wrote me a paragraph about the livewire, I'd include it in the guide.

That's allot of info. I'll set aside some time this weekend and read some of it. After reading all that, I should be brainwashed one way or the other.
Just kidding with you. It looks like a good read though.
