Hi Chris - need more info - what are the specs on the pc & operating system?

If it's 2000, XP or greater, the account you are using needs local admin privileges to start with ... disable virus checking & firewall temporarily, close all other apps, sufficient resources, etc ....

I'm assuming it meets the minimum requirements for the Lightning application ...

you should be getting a notice soon.. should have by now. The recall is to reflash the computer because it wasn't keeping track of the catalitic converter output or something. Fast and easy to do at the dealer.. but now there is a new code for edge to figure out I guess.

Yeah I got a notice. My truck was built 12/4/06.... if yours was built later then maybe it was taken care of at the factory... or if you just bought it, the dealer may have done it before you took delivery. You can tell if the dealer did it by a sticker on the front edge of the underside of the hood. This is also only for FFV equiped trucks.

Cuz I ordered it, and the salesman gave me the build date you can look for various dates on components under the hood and get a pretty accurate date that it was built. With just in time manufacturing, the dates on components are only a day or two from the actual build date.

Does your truck run any different after update(less throttle lag)? I love the way it runs but would like it a little more responsive. I am hoping that is what the Edge will do when they get the programming up to date.
