Tuner and a stick?

I have about $400 I can spend on my truck right now. I have been doing a lot of reading on the Edge and think that is the route I would like to go (still not totally decided). I am not finding a lot of info reguarding a five speed with the tuners though. I have read the tuners really do well with the automatics, but would it be worth me spending the money for a tuner with a manual transmition? I have an 02 F150 Supercab, 5 speed, 4.6 V-8, custom K&N intake and a glasspacked, stock pipe exhaust. I occasionally tow an ATV on a trailer with one (atv) in the bed of the truck. But, 90% of the time, I just drive back and forth to work and would like some more fun

Tuners re-calibrate 2 basic functions: transmission and engine... But if you have a manual tranny, then a tuner does nothing for the tranny. It does however, still offer the same benefits for the the engine - increased power. If my truck was a manual, I would definately still have a tuner.

Too bad they dont offer a cheaper version that lacks the tranny capabilities. I think I would definately buy one without question. As of right now, I am still on the fence as I cant get past thinking that I am paying full price for something I only get to use half of.
