Hi it's been a while. A while back I bought a 1715 turner from you and really liked it. I was really pleased with what it done for the trans. We still have it and my brother is running it on his truck. My question is I bought a 99 7.3 and have bought a 1705 tuner used for it. I haven't installed it yet and was wondering what to expect as far as the trans and would it be best to just use the tuners settings. That is what I did with the 1715 and was real happy with it.
I don't want to ride a rocket just want to use the low setting and improve the driveability. Also as far as towing have you seen any problems on the low setting? I have a 7000lb travel trailer and that is all I've had tied to it.
I know these have been out sometime and you have seen it all. Thank you !!

As with the 1715, just use the diesel tuner's defaults - and no, there is no problem towing heavy loads on the towing program in that unit. If you did not get docs with that tuner when you bought it used, it would be a good idea to call Superchips Inc and see if they can provide you with a set of docs for it, just so you'll have all of the info for that specific model.
