Question First post and looking for programmer inforamtion

Hey,

I'm new, First post even! I have a 98 F150 4x4. It just rolled 30K and I think I am ready to put some power under the peddle.

I put a K&N in it and it said that it was good for 30HP. so i should be making about 340HP right?

I am not a total Idiot! But I had you going didn't I.

Seriously, I am looking for a programmer or chip that is the best. Money is not of concern, so I want to know what is the best.

It has the 5.4L, automatic, 4x4 Off road, CD player, Bleh, bleh, bleh....

Please help with some good info. Wanting good power increase and fuel usage decrease. If there is such a thing.

If any of you frequent www.trx450r.org I am using the same ID.

450Ripper;
Build yourself a turbo or twin turbo setup. There are people here and on v6f150.com that have done it.That is if money is no object.Call Mike Troyer @Troyer performance and ask him if he will guide you, sell you a tuner and tunes for it!If money is no object!
Most importantly you need to read, read, read!!!

Thanks for the replies fellas. I will do some more reading and let you know what I am going to do. I like the turbo idea, I think that I can get a turbo set up here in town. Thought about a Kenny Bell type supercharger also. Not sure if power adder is the path I want right now, the truck has such low miles on it. It's nice having a reliable truck. Did a blower on my mustang and it ran like a raped ape, but reliability really went down. I'm thinking a good custom chip or a good programmer if there is such a thing.

Could always do a lightning motor swap also!!!

HI 450 Ripper,

That was a hilarious post - I'm sure you had a few people going with that.

Anyway, in terms of what will actually get you the best results, by far that is our Troyer Performance custom tuning, as the others have mentioned who are using it.

See, we have specialized in the performance tuning & modification of these trucks longer than anyone else - so we know more about their tuning, and get much better results.

We provide you with a set of 3 different custom tunes set up for each individual vehicle owners needs & preferences, so you get the best results & maximum flexibility, and can still do anything you want to be able to do with your vehicle, and do it better, with more horsepower and torque available at any throttle position or rpm. We also completely remap the shift characteristics, as from the factory they are pretty poor & sluggish.

The overall driveability will also be improved, and in most cases, if you can keep your foot out of the firewall, you also see some mileage gains as well.

We sell the typical off the shelf type of tuners to, but frankly, we sell hundreds of our custom tunes for every one of those "canned" devices, as our results are that much better, and you can get it done just like you want it.

This is of course just some brief info, so to get all the scoop & your special price as a registered member here, please give us a call at our number listed below & we'll be more than happy to help you.

Good luck with your truck, & thanks for the funny post!

I thought it was too! Been in the pursuit of HP since I was a little tike and learned the HP ratings from manufactures are mostly jokes!
