Edge programmer

I was thinking of getting a edge programmer for my 06 f-150. i was just wondering if it is hard to use, understand, or install. Have there been any problems with them, if so what other product do you suggest i get. I was also curious if there was any significant changes that you would say are worth the money.

Thank you for any help

Easy install, easy to use, and easy to set. Overall easy. I love mine. Do a search for EDGE and see what everyone else has to say.

The best mod for the money without a doubt. Troyer wants like $440 for it but I got mine for like $345 here.

Edge Evolution installed and lovin it!!

I just installed my Edge on Friday and have noticed significant increase in overall power. The display options and 0 to 60 times and Quarter mile times are impressive and easy to use. My 06 FX4 has 5.4L and after installing the Edge I am running 0 to 60 in 8 seconds and the Quarter mile in 16.576 seconds at 87 miles per hour. The Edge was very very easy to install and it only took about 5-7 minutes and I was on the road. I say the Edge is the way to go. I tried the Hypertech unit first and had to get a flash from dealer due to the problems that I encountered. Also with the Edge you can attach a laptop computer to it and monitor the actual horsepower at the tranny. Ithink this is some pretty cool stuff and very fun to play with. Hope this helps in your decision. If you have any other questions please let me know..

Edge Custom Settings And Speed Limiter

After the Edge I am doing 0-60 in 8 seconds flat and 1/4 mile in 16.578 seconds. I love the difference this programmer has made... Thank you for the great suggestion on the Edge

What I did is I went to Level 3 and chose [yes] on [create custom pragram], from there I changed Tire Size (which was way off but easy to correct as long as you have the Evo book in your hand for reference). I also changed the gear to 3.73 instead of 3.55 and finally I changed the timing +1.00 because I run 93 Octane (I noticed a difference on the timing alone).

Read these 2 threads and it should help answer some questions you have or will have..
