Edge Programming

Hey guys..just bought the edge the other day and am curruntly waiting on it. I have a k&n cold air intake on it now....will there be any problems with it and the edge? Can I still use one of the 3 settings it comes with or does it have to be a custom tune?

Im installing underdrive pulleys after Christmas, will the edge have to be reconfigured for that or do I have to do anything?

So can you only use stage 3 performace tune if you are running 91 or above?

Whaa?? No... Edge claims you will get better horsepower results from using a higher octane on a lower level. Ever since I've got my Edge I've always been running 93 octane, even on level 2. Custom tune on all also..

????? Edge, new to performance products

I know little about performance programs and upgrades for late model autos. I have a 2000 Excursion w/ >180k miles. New got 12.5-13 mpg city/hwy now very solid 11.0. Uses about 1qt oil 1-1.5k miles. Std v-10 w/k&n air filter. What simple upgrades recommended or programers (not to get too costly unless items can be used on other autos)? Will be pulling 38' rv, need pwr/acceptable mpg.

Because you want to use it on other autos, I'd look into an XCalII tuned by Mike Troyer. You can use it on any other F-Series truck.
