xcal2 datalogging

I'm just filling out the worksheets for Troyer Perf. and I'm wondering how many xcal2 owners never did any datalogging, and what were their results. I'm in a smaller city in Canada and I'm not sure I want the hassles of datalogging. Is it still worth buying the xcal2 if you don't ever do any datalogging? 2003 f150 supercab shortbox, 7700 gvw, 5.4L .

Unequivocally the answer is yes. Mike’s tuning will do the trick anyway but…

Hi.

What hassles? It's actually fun!

Borrow a laptop, read the instructions, & go.

If you can't find a decent dyno facility within reach, Mike can work with you on an alternate solution to getting A/F's. Call 'em for more details - or you can Search here, as he's already spelled out what's involved.

Worth it? Oh yeah.

BTW - where in Alberta? I have a bro-in-law in Airdrie.

Cheers
Bubba

Hi.

Dynojet facilities:

Two listed in Edmonton, several in Calgary....

http://www.dynojet.com/maps/autodynos/canada.htm

You can always let 'em do the work.

Best results if you do this, & it's highly recommended, escpecially for 04+ models - but I recognize that many folks don't. Possibly less of an issue on your '03, but you can never truly know for sure.

In all honesty, it's just not all that hard. If a dumb (Thanks Duke!), old fart like me can do it, anyone can....

Cheers
Bubba

I'm not afraid of doing it. It's the cost, borrow a laptop, the time involved with figuring it out, and the fact that I would have to take two small kids with me while I do it.
