Edge problem

Last week my "wrench" light came on. At the time I was running low on fuel, and that's what I thought it was because after I filled up the light went away. Well yesterday the light came on again, this time 3/4 tank and the truck felt like it was sputtering so I figured it was the edge, I pulled off the side of the road and reprogrammed back to stock. The truck feels fine now, but I am afraid to use the edge anymore until I get some answers. Anyone experience anything similar?? I have a 04 FX4 Screw with 3.73's and 35's and had the edge set on stage 2.

Thanks for the help

Sounds like when a coil pack went out on me, but I dont have any tuning done. It came and went for a few weeks then just flat went out. Thought my engine was gonna explode from the sound of it running on 7/8 cylinders. See what code turned the 'wrench' light on and take it from there. Can usually borrow a scanner from the local parts place. I use O'Reillys and they have one (three, actually) at our store.

Good luck!!

The edge should tell you if there are codes and read them for you.

Is the coil pack a simple fix or something that will take days?

Probably a stupid question, but how do you check that on the edge?

Found out the problem today when I brought the truck into the dealership. I live in Beckley WV, and the guys at this dealership are f#$%^&&* as#@$$s . I come to find out it was a screwed up TPS that they blamed on my Typhoon. They said it was not covered under warranty and charged me $193 for this fix. Long story short, my brother-in-law works at a Ford dealership in WI and his service adviser said it was not caused by the typhoon and should be covered under warranty, he said according to his service manual this is a common problem with the new fords and gave me a reference # 05-14-04 and they should give me my money back. I will talk to the GM on Monday and if he doesn't refund my money the shi$ will hit the fan. I'll let you know how it works out.
